Deborah “Debi” S. Shipman was born on February 28, 1964 in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Leslie and Maxine Dalton, and passed away on March 4, 2016 at the age of 52. She was a resident of Perry for 12 years and a very active member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Debi loved gardening, especially planting flowers. She also enjoyed garage sales and shopping, and shoes and purses were her favorites. Baking cookies for and spending time with her family brought her much happiness, as did animals of all kinds, especially dogs. Debi was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine and her son, Donald Feneis. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 12 years, Larry; her daughter, Aaliyah, two sons, Nathan and Daniel; father, Leslie (Wilma) Dalton; and two sisters, Patty (Louis) Lane and Sandy (Tom) Worsham. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 7740 W. St. Joseph Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917 with Pastors Norman F. Burger and Joel Tullberg officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI.
