Daniel Craig Allen

Daniel Craig Allen was born September 16, 1955 to John and Joanne (Jones) Allen, and passed away August 12, 2016 at the age of 60. Daniel worked as a bricklayer. He found the beauty in all types and models of cars and loved working on and restoring older models. Daniel was a wonderful husband, dad, and papa. He provided “papa daycare” for his grandchildren and was a great family man and was always there when anyone needed him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Oscar Benjamin. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 35 years, Debbie; children, Jason (Ashlee) Allen, Jennifer (Ryan) Dougherty, Craig (Kelli) Allen; grandchildren, Riley, Serenity, Paige, Lily, Kendon, Colin, and Alanna; brother, Steve (Debbie) Allen; sisters, Debbie (Mark) Slaght, Betty (Leonard) Sweet, and Laurie Allen; brothers, Chuck, Rodney (Christy), Dennis (Sam) Benjamin; sisters, Marcia (Ken) Fabbro, Karen (Mike) Magley. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 900 E. Michigan Ave. Lansing, Michigan 48912. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
