Wolfman.....I remember the day I first met you.  You walked in looking for a job, very quiet, a little shy but very determined I must say.  You told me that if I hired you, that I would never regret it.  Well, you were right my friend.  Actually, I think you turned out to be the longest employed hire I ever had.  Despite that, you turned out to be a PILLAR OF STRENGTH in our kitchen all of those years.  I know that when I walked back there and saw you, the night was going to be just fine, and it always was.

I remember sharing "birthday week" with you in July because our Bdays were only a couple days apart.  All those times someone else would call off and you would come in and save the day without even thinking about it.  Those first few months of the OC depended on you guys back there and you NEVER let us down!  Thank you for all the long hours and horrible nights we all shared together, you made them a lot easier to deal with.

Now as your shift down here has come to an end, you now join several of my others friends that I miss on a daily basis.  Please enjoy your eternity in paradise, for you have earned it my friend and I look forward to the day that you and I will raise a glass together again!  God Bless Chad

May wherever your wings take you, you find peace. We will all forever remember your kind eyes and approachable spirit. Everyone we meet in life leaves an impact on others and you’ve left me with nothing but positive energy and friendly memories.

Dear Chad, 

You were the first person I actually opened up to at Old Chicago. Before we had our first conversation, you were the one person I was intimidated by the most. I felt your experience and knowledge of how the business was run, and I walked on egg shells when I was around you. But then you introduced yourself to me. From that moment I knew I had made a mistake by feeling intimidated by you. We slowly built respect for one another and before I knew it, we were hanging out together after work sharing things that the best of friends or family would. You came into my life right when I needed a real friend, almost as if you already knew this fact. You genuinely cared about me. You had such a great level of intuition and awareness to the point that you knew exactly what my opinion was of something before I was finished talking about it. You’ve came up to me and gave me a big hug during a work shift on multiple occasions right when I needed something like that the most, how could you have known that? You were truly an extraordinary person, I’ve only known you for just a month shy of 2 years, but I will be striving to better my life and the ones around me because of the huge impact you have had on my life,

You were one of the first people I met when we began working at Old Chicago in 2004 getting ready to open for business. Over the years, you were always there for me and for everyone whether as an employee or as a friend.

You are one of the best people I have ever known. The example you set with your selflessness and compassion has helped shape me into the person I am today. I will forever be grateful for the impact you had on me and the time we had together.

What to say man. We didn’t talk all the time, but when we did, man did we have some good conversation. Chad told it like it was. He was a great example of a human being. He will be missed a great deal. Rip chad. Fly high my dude.
