Lansing, MI. Age 96, went to be with Our Lord, Saturday, November 24, 2012. Carolyn was born August 29, 1916 in St. Louis, Michigan the daughter of George and Bertha (Oster) Bauer. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, playing card games, and all crafts. Carolyn loved to bake pies and cookies, in fact the last few years of her life she didn?t go a day without a cookie if she could help it. She will always be remembered as that person that didn?t finish the day without dessert; our family "cookie monster". A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend will be dearly missed by all and remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. She was often referred to as a hero to many of her family members; just an amazing woman. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1993, and daughter, Barbara Kay (Kaiser) Brandenberg in 2004, and great-great granddaughter, Layla Miller. Carolyn is survived by her loving son, Jerry (Bonnie) Kaiser of Venice, FL; grandchildren, Tom (Penny) Kaiser, Linda (Skip) Lunsted, Kelli (Bob) Hart, Tracie Jo (Tony) Callaway, Kip (Sandi) Kaiser, Tracey (Rikk) Viviano, and Brian Wheeler. Also surviving are 22 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Carolyn?s life will take place, Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Deepdale Memorial Chapel with Pastor Roger K. Straub officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Carolyn Kaiser to Good Shepherd Lutheran church at 7000 West Saginaw Highway, Lansing, MI, 48917.
