Carole was a wonderful mother who instilled strength in her girls, guidance to her grandchildren and unconditional love to her great-grand girls. She was a kind neighbor, colleague and friend to many throughout her life. She was a joyful presence with a boisterous laugh, a warm hug and a bright smile.
Carole was a dental hygienist and dental instructor in the dental hygiene program at Lansing Community College. She volunteered numerous hours at the soup kitchen, food bank, and at church. Bible study groups, book clubs, sewing, quilting, reading, and spending time with friends brought her much joy. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family including going to activities for her grandkids and reading to her great-grand babies.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Kienke; and brother, Bruce Eldridge. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Butts (Kevin) and Rhonda Slazinski (John); grandchildren, Kalvin, Kaylee (Joey), Ty, Alivia and Tanner; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Hensley; and her beloved dog, Lily.
She met Ron at the age of 19 and later married him on April 20, 1963 and spent 35 wonderful years together before he passed away. Together they raised 2 children and enjoyed a life of sailing, traveling, and nurturing lifelong friends. A life so wonderfully lived, deserves to be wonderfully remembered.
