Carol was born December 24, 1941 to Louis and Leota Cole. She was called home to her Lord on December 14, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Norval; her brother Marv (Marilyn) Cole and many other family members and friends. Carol attended Michigan State University for her bachelors and masters in elementary education. September 1, 1967, she married her first love Norval Young. They shared a wonderful lifetime together. They owed several local businesses: Everybody’s Market, Dispatch Deli, Rogues Pub, Blinkerlite, and Dispatch Sports Pub. Since retiring from teaching they resided winters in New Smyrna Beach, FL, where they are members of Our Lady of the Sea. Locally they spent the summers at Long Lake and attended St. Mary’s. Carol fought a long and valiant battle with Parkinson’s. She was loved by all who knew her and her presence on this earth will be sorely missed.
