Bruce was married to his high school sweetheart, Dolores, in May of 1949 in downtown Lansing. Dolores and Bruce spent 74 wonderful years together, traveling and raising their four sons, and playing with their many grandchildren. After retirement, Bruce and Dolores lived in Arizona for 10 years.
Bruce was an Interior Decorator/ Engineer for Michigan National Bank for almost 40 years. He also was a member of the Mount Hope Church as a Deacon. Bruce had many hobbies in life, including motorcycles and traveling with his wife, Dolores. The two traveled all over the world, including to Europe, Japan, Israel, and Alaska.
Bruce is survived by his wife Dolores (Spencer) Kenney, his four sons Terry (Susan) Kenney, Ron (Janis) Kenney, Michael (Michelle) Kenney, and Mark (Brenda) Kenney. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Bruce was preceded in death by both his father, Wayne Kenney and his mother Florence (Elliot) Kenney and his brother Dennis Kenney.
Visitation for Bruce will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2pm until 6pm at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Funeral Home (3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 12pm at Mt. Hope Church (202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing) with visitation one hour prior. Bruce will be laid to rest at Deepdale Memorial Gardens.
