Bonnie Bei Smith

Bonnie Bei Smith was born in Detroit on April 2, 1952 and passed away on August 17, 2021. Bonnie was a loving daughter, sister, sister-n law, niece, aunt and great-aunt. She is survived by her sisters, Peggy Schmid (Laverda Godfrey) and Karen Davis; sister-in-law, Terri Smith; Aunt, Sarah Kaufman; nephews and nieces, Jason (Michelle) Smith, Ryan (Jessica) Smith, Paul (Amanda) Smith, Paige (Alex) Walls and Skylar Godfrey. She was preceded in death by Ina M. Schmid (mother), Alwin Schmid (stepfather), Lena Kaufman (Grandmother), Leonard Kaufman (Grandfather) and Len Smith (Brother).

Bonnie graduated from Waverly High School class of 1971. She was a supervisor for the State of Michigan in the Medicaid department for 25 years. Her family and friends have great memories of listening to the many amazing stories told as Bonnie was not only a great story teller but also a wonderful writer. Bonnie had a strong passion for animals especially remembering her most recent furry friends Fluffy and Murphy whom she greatly spoiled. She also cherished her lifelong friendships with Art and Joanna Alvera, Chris and Craig Rosborough and Pallas Rhodes. Bonnie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Bonnie will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
