Bonnie E Hawkins (nee Lockwood), age 98, died July 12, 2016. Born February 11, 1918 in Ashley, Michigan. Daughter of the late William and Igola Lockwood. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold E. Hawkins, brother Ernie Lockwood US Navy WWII, and sister Belva (Raymond) Eberspeaker. Surviving to cherish her memory is her son Robert (Kathleen) Hawkins.
Bonnie was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Woman’s, a volunteer at St. Lawrence Hospital for 50 years, a Volunteer at Small House Hold Goods at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, A member and historian of the OX-5 Pioneers. She was an avid crossword enthusiast and reader. She will be missed by her many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912 with Rev. Wade Panse and Pastor Robert Cook officiating. The family will receive friends Friday July 15, 2016 from 4pm-7pm.
