Betty Ruth Gray

Star Michigan. She was the oldest of six children.

She married Jerry Mitchell in 1946; they were divorced in 1975. She married Glen Gray in 1984. She also retired from MDOT in 1984, taking an early retirement. She and Glen traveled the country looking for their perfect place to spend away from Michigan winters. They finally settled on central Florida about 1989. Glen passed in 2021.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy and Karen (Mark) and 4 stepchildren, Dennis (Connie), Peggy (Ken), Janet (Dave), and Liz. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild, along with many step-grandchildren. Joyce Kench is her only surviving sibling. Two grandchildren preceded her in passing.

The family would like to express special thanks for the staff and residents of A Home Away From Home in Grand Ledge, Michigan for the extra care and comfort provided in Betty's final days.

Funeral services will be at Gorsline-Runciman Tiffany Chapel at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial in Chapel Hill cemetery will follow the service. Donations in Betty's name may be made to CareLine Hospice or Greater Lansing Food Bank.
