Age 82, born to Italian immigrants Joseph and Mary (Coscarelli) Faraone, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on October 29, 2009. Tony was a faithful lifelong Catholic. He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School, attended Lansing Business University, and was 40 years employee of Oldsmobile. He served his country during World War II as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Medical Corp in Asbury, Germany. Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and puzzles. He built a cottage that still exists today on Lake LeAnn. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joan D. (Panetta) Faraone; his three children, Michael (Bonnie), Stephen (Renay), and Mary (James) Glasgow; three granddaughters, Laura, Emily, and Nicole Glasgow; as well a brother, sister, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank. Tony was a loving husband, father, and Papa who will be missed.
Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday with a 7:00 P.M. Vigil service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 2, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. Prabhu Lakra presiding. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday at church.
