In 1968 Anna was married to Martin Brown in Lansing, Michigan. The two were married for 29 years and together raised 8 children.
Anna had earned her nursing Diploma from Foote Memorial hospitals nursing course in 1960. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science at Michigan state University in 1966. She worked as a registered nurse at Sparrow Hospital and as a nurse consultant for the state of Michigan till she retired in 1997.
Most people would describe Anna as a kind, giving, and selfless woman, and she showed that with everything she did in her life. Anna loved to travel and especially loved her home state of Michigan.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents Fred R. and Mildred Chapman, her husband Martin Brown, siblings Ralph Chapman, John Chapman, Lucille Amon, Robert Chapman, Jean Marlow, and Amy Landers, and child Rodney Brown.
Anna’s legacy lives on through her children Fredrick Brown, Pamela Goolsby, Rollin Brown, John Brown, Martin Brown, Monica Bunnell, and Patricia Brown, as well as 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Anna Mae Brown will be held on Monday May 13th, 2024. Visitation will take place at Gorsline Runciman Lansing Chapel at 11 AM- 1 PM with a service at 1 PM- 2 PM. Burial is to follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens at 3 PM and a luncheon will be held at the South Lansing Christian Church at around 4 PM.
