Alice R. Bonta

Alice grew up in Eaton Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Bonta and daughter Claudia (Bonta) Bahrie. Surviving are her daughters Eve Bonta and Sally Bonta; sister Ruth Ann Abbott; grandchildren Danielle Polaskey, Justin Bahrie; great grandchildren Ariana and Giana Polaskey, and Kaia and Noa Bahrie.

Alice received her Bachelor's Degree in Textiles and Clothing from Michigan State University in 1944, Teaching Certificate in 1967, and Master's Degree in Home Economics in 1972.

Alice taught clothing construction for 11 years in Public Schools in Grand Rapids and Battle Creek. She was an excellent quilter and seamstress. She was a Docent at Meridian Historical Village in Okemos, MI. Alice enjoyed bird watching, listening to classical music and playing the piano. She had a kind and generous heart and was loved by all.

A graveside service will be held in September at Gerrish Township Cemetery, Higgins Lake. A memorial service will be held June 24th, 11am at the Okemos Community Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Stoneleigh Residence 3411 Stoneleigh Dr. Lansing, MI 48910.
