Sylvia was born in Gosport, Hampshire, England June 12, 1937.
Sylvia took nursing training and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She then took midwife training and after graduating she worked in British hospitals for several years.
In 1966 Sylvia immigrated to Vancouver and after a short stay at the Vancouver General Hospital she moved to the Lions Gate Hosptial in North Vancouver where she spent 29 years nursing before retiring in 1996.
Sylvia loved the outdoors, walking, hiking, cross country skiing, canoeing or boating on lakes. She would get upset if she saw or heard of mistreatment of animals or people.
Sylvia leaves behind Vern, he husband of 55 years, her nephew Robert in Australia, Nephew Stuart and Niece Vicki in England.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 11, 2024 at 2:00pm at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Hwy Langley, B.C.
