I was so blessed to be along side of Philippe over the years to help him decide to come to Covenant and then leave as God was directing him.
He was beyond his years in how he viewed life and his insights and wisdom.
I miss him like many do and know where he is and that he is more alive than we are.

Dear Philippe’s Family
I have not nor will forget Philippe’s dedication to his family, his work and his faith. 
Oh he is missed!

Remembering four years later with a sadness and grief that seems so surreal.  He is also remembered with lots of happiness as he was such a good dad, husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. Philippe’s calm demeanor and always staying to visit  just a little longer is one of my favorite memories.

Philippe was a humble, meek, strong, and wise man.  He leaves a legacy of Godly impact on those around him and has touched so many lives.  I truly looked up to him.  He will he missed greatly.  

Rebecca and Fam, you were so blessed to have him.  You will all be in our prayers in these coming months of transition.

Philippe has been a close friend and mentor of mine for the last 10 years. We met regularly for coffee talking life, talking shop and talking God. His outlook on life encouraged me through many challenges and I am very grateful for all the advice and insight he shared along this journey. The Kingdom gained an amazing man and he has left behind a legacy that we can all be encouraged by. I will miss him dearly and will be praying for his family. I look forwards to the day we can see each other again.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. I never met Philippe but  recall  hearing many stories from a proud mother and grandmother. I did have the pleasure to meet Luc and Kate when they visited you at Second Street and it was obvious they came from a happy, loving  family.

We loved Philippe. He was a true friend who really showed interest in other people and made us feel special. He wanted to make the world a better place. He was always the last guy to leave a meeting or event because he would take the time to talk and connect. He was humble and wise, and loved the church and his God. We doubt he, or even any one of us, knew the expanse of his impact and the lives he touched, here and around the world, and we know he'll be waiting for us on the other side... and we look forward to seeing him again.

I have worked with Philippe on a business basis for many years but I only met him in person once. However, that meeting stayed with me all these years.  He was a very intelligent, thoughtful and kind person I came to admire for  many years I worked with him for the company he represented. It is rare in the business world to meet someone like Philippe.  May God bless his family and give them comfort in knowing how much he was valued and admired . Rest in peace my friend.

Philippe stood by me during the hardest time of my life.  He gave me a voice when I had none and I am forever grateful I had the previledge to know him. I don't know if I would still be in ministry today if it was not for his care and friendship.  I will always remember him as a smart, kind, wise, diligent, and generous man. We will miss you! To Rebecca and the kids, words can't express how much we love you and how we wish we could be closer.  We hold you in our prayers and in our  hearts. 


Our family is mourning the loss of Philippe. An incredible man who made a remarkable impact on all those who had the privilege of meeting him. Reflecting on the fond memories of him as a caring and engaged uncle and true friend of our family. 

Finding a genuine friend of Philippe's calibre  is like looking for a needle in a hay stack.
To say he will be TERRIBLY missed would be an understatement.

We always loved seeing your family at basketball and volleyball games and visiting with Philippe as he enjoyed watching his children play sports. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Such a precious soul!  I knew Philippe at elementary school. Always a happy boy who loved His Lord. He is forever in the arms of Jesus now.  Prayers are for his family at this very difficult time. 

For all of us your life was way too short but the impact that you have left will never be forgotten.  You were an outstanding father, husband, son, brother and friend.  
To Rebecca and the children we send our love and prayers...and know that the Lord will be your greatest comfort.  
We will miss you but know that you have gone home to be with your Lord & Saviour.   You ran a great race.

A cause de la distance de nos familles, la dernière fois que nous avons été tous réunis était en 2014 en Corse. C'était une très belle journée tellement rare de nous voir tous! J'ai toujours eu beaucoup d'affection pour vous tous et je garde un très beau souvenir de Philippe, souriant et heureux entouré de Rebecca et de leurs enfants. C'est cette image que je garderai au fonds de moi. 
Toute la famille Corse est en deuil avec vous et nous aurions aimé être présent. Nous avons tellement de peine. Rebecca et les enfants, sachez que vous serez toujours les bienvenus si un jour vous avez l'envie de venir nous voir. La distance n'enlève en rien le lien de famille et l'amour que nous avons. We will never forget the pleasure it was to have Philippe live with us the year that Ann and Henri were in Bible School in Portland. So much fun. Left over dessert was always a good breakfast for Philippe. He was always thoughtful.
Philippe I know you are rejoicing with your dad and your Heavenly Father but you have left a huge whole in the hearts of those who knew you. 
We are praying for comfort and peace for the rest of the family .

Even at a young age, Philippe was a gentleman. Soft spoken, humble and kind. He was also an outstanding athlete. I’m honoured to have known him.

We know Phillip to be a man who take a it all in stride. We were the new people at a conference in Langley. It was break time when we could all go hang out together. Fortunately for us Rebecca took us home for lunch. Phillip never ever blinked, he just made us feel welcome. Thank you Phillip and Rebecca for being the friends we needed that day. 💜

Philippe was a strong and caring leader - he helped lead us all through difficult times a few years back.  During that time I was impressed by his wisdom and prayerful consideration of all involved. He was a quiet servant and spent countless hours working behind the scenes. Our prayers are with Rebecca and the kids, Dave and Anne Therese. May God continue to uphold you all. Unfortunately we are out of town on January 11th and very sorry that we cannot attend the memorial. 

Philippe is a huge part that made it possible to serve as missionaries in Ethiopia and has supported us in every way over the years. Both Rebecca and Philippe were our mentors, and the word of confirmation that came through them at CLA was for us and confirmed our going to the mission field. He even flew in for a day to see us and encourage us in Ethiopia- something we will never forget. We have learned so much personally from him, and model our family, steadfastness and humbleness in ministry after him.  It is a great loss to us, but a gain for heaven. We await the beautiful day when we will be reunited together again.

In one of our most darkest hours Philippe and Rebecca were God's hands and feet!  We will never forget the love and practical care Philippe showed to us especially being such a friend to Greg when he needed unconditional love and friendship.  God's love shone through Philippe...it was evident God used him in a mighty way...Blessings and our deepest condolences to Rebecca and family.


Philippe was an uber volunteer, a pillar in the community.  A man of integrity, working hard for the church, the Board and served on Committees. 
 When   I started working at CLA church, Philippe was my mentor!  His love for God, his family and community  were evident.  He had a servant heart.    It was a privilege serving alongside him!



Micki and I will never forget the warmth of Philippe and Rebecca’s acceptance, encouragement and support during CLA’s last pastoral transition. Philippe’s love for the Lord, the church and it’s leaders and members was demonstrated by his willingness to use all his gifts, time and energy unstintingly without seeking recognition, only desiring the glory of God. His example and influence will continue to enrich the lives of all who knew him.
