When I was in 3rd grade, Mom opened her door to missionaries one evening, and shortly afterwards we were baptized. A few months later, Mom caught Ron’s eye and if I remember correctly, he invited her to his baptism. They went on a few dates and Ron promptly proposed. 
They were married and our family grew with the births of Christine and Christian. I remember pretending that my new baby sister was my daughter; it was a joy to be Mom’s little helper. Christian was born the next year and as an 11 yr old girl, I was in my glory with such cute baby siblings.
You were very fortunate, and special, if Mom opened up to you. She had a way about her, that was easily misunderstood or under-appreciated. Her door was always open and I truly believe that she was devoted to being an apostle. It must have been heartbreaking for her that her children grew away from the church despite her efforts to warn us, and educate us. 
Ron, I am so grateful that she had you in her corner. Your unconditional love and patience with her was always evident. Christine and I have had heart to heart conversations over the years, where we wished we could meet a man as devoted to mom as you were. Please take better care of yourself and heed mom’s little whispers to you in that regard. 
Mom, I know the pandemic was hard on you and you wanted nothing more than to convince us to come back to the church. You knew how I felt about the vaccines. I was worried that each shot was like playing Russian roulette due to our genetic makeup and because of the vaccine injury I endured as a teenager. 
I deeply regret giving up on trying to be closer to you, and I speak for all of your children as all of us feel tremendous guilt by your sudden health crisis. We miss you, we love you and it’s comforting to know that you’re finally at peace.

To Ron and all of your children and grandchildren - condolences from all the Ward family on the passing of your gentle wife, mother and grandmother. I have only seen her providing good will and caring to others.
