She lived her early years on the west coast of Vancouver Island as her father was a lighthouse keeper. Many will remember her funny stories of life at Nootka, Kains, Trial and Pine Islands. In her teens Pearl's family moved to Langley, B.C. where she finished school while helping on the family strawberry farm. It was during this time that she met her husband Vernon whom she married in August 1954. Pearl worked for many years at the Royal Bank ending her career at the Aldergrove branch. After retirement Pearl and Vern loved to travel, going on several cruises and lots of driving trips to the States. Pearl had many hobbies, gardening, sewing, knitting and her favourite, cooking. Every Sunday she prepared dinner for her whole family, and loved to bake at Christmas.
Pearl is survived by her three children, Lorraine (Larry), Larry (Caressa) and Valerie (John). Her four grandchildren, Lindsey (Colin), Matthew (Ashley), Rebecca and Nathan, two great- grandchildren, Nash and Amari, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Vernon as well as her two sisters, Connie and Mina.
Pearl's service will be held at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home at 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley followed by a graveside service. The reception will be held at 2116 - 204A Street, Langley.
