Brian Lockhart Wood July 10, 1947 – August 20, 2012
Brian L. Wood passed away Monday August 20 in Langley Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife Catharina (Vervoort), Stephen Northrup (Julia Harnett) and grand-daughter Isla; Raena (Russell Zapp) and grandson Nolan; brother in-law Gerry (Donna) Vervoort and their families and sisters Marion (Gary Kozie, Parksville); Jocelyn (David Churchill, Calgary) and Kathryn and their families. Pre-deceasing Brian were his parents, Inez A. (Norem) Wood (2000) & Robert H. Wood (2004) and parents-in-law, Jean (2005) & William Vervoort (2011).
Brian was born in New Zealand and immigrated to Canada in 1950. After a successful sales career, he retired 2008. Brian was first and foremost a musician (keyboards), music lover and spent his leisure time on the piano. He was an avid gardener and fisherman.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
