It comes with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ted at home on August 14th, 2022. Ted was born in Moncton, NB., and grew up in Steveston, B.C.
Ted was predeceased by his parents Bert and Muriel. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Penny, Daughter Nicole, son Christopher, grandsons Aidan and Tristan. He is also survived by his eight siblings Gai, Jim (Sue), Dave (Carol), Peter (Doreen), Richard (Roxy), Shirley, Sherry (Glen), and Shelley (Gord), as well as a large extended family.
Ted spent his working life on the water, buying his first fish boat at 16 years old, becoming a tugboat skipper at 21 years old, and then joining the Pacific Pilotage as a Fraser River Pilot until his retirement. Ted and Penny enjoyed many wonderful years traveling abroad. His greatest enjoyment was being with family and friends, puttering in his yard, and relaxing in his pool with a cold beer.
