Naomi (Snyder) Gillenwater of Lancaster passed away Friday December 11, 2020 at the Pickering House. She was born January 24, 1936 in Letart, WV, the daughter of late Horton Henry and Bessie Louise (Donohue) Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years. Raymond Gillenwater Sr.; daughter Paula Kay Gillenwater; brothers, Harold, Hubert, Harry, George, Edward, Wayne, Ross, Gary and Max; twin sister Iona Zerkle; sisters Lydia, Mary, Juanita, and Aleta. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Michael) Cook and son Raymond (Emily) Gillenwater Jr. Other survivors include granddaughters Tammy (Chris) McConnaughey, Tracy (Charles) Sullivan, Amanda (Bob) Urban; grandsons Shawn (Cheri) Gillenwater and Troy (Stephanie) Gillenwater; and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Alice (John) Hunter, many nieces and nephews, and by many special friends that she loved to shop and dine with daily. Naomi was a member of the Mills Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with family and friends. Christmas was her favorite holiday and her home was always bright this time of year. Her smile was bright as well and her hugs were always warm and comforting. She will be missed by many. Public graveside services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday December 17, 2020 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are being handled by Halteman-Fett and Dyer funeral home.
