Nancy H Young

Nancy Young, 87, died May 31, 2024 in Canton, Ohio. She was born June 25, 1936 in Athens, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Moe. Nancy graduated from Lancaster High School in 1954. She taught elementary and middle school in the Berne Union Local Schools for 30 years. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano and spending time with her family. Nancy and her family attended the First Church of God in Lancaster for many years. The Moe family sang at many churches and camp meetings. She spent her last years in Canton, Ohio with her daughter and family.

She is survived by her daughter Pam (Gary) Paustenbach from Canton; son, Patrick (Susan) Young from Potterville, Michigan, grandchildren: Kevin (Argerie) Paustenbach and Kelli (Josh) Cary; two great grandchildren: Naomi Cary and Alan Paustenbach; brother-in-law: Wesley Young (Cathy), sisters in law: Joy Moe, Janet (Carmine) Antorino, and Brinda Young; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Henry Young. Those years with him and her family brought her so much joy. She is also preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law: Juanita and John Young. brothers: Dick Moe and Tom Moe; brothers in law: John Young Jr. and Donald Hines; sisters in law: Elizabeth Hines and Cathy Moe.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 6 at the First Church of God, 730 E. 6th Ave., Lancaster, OH with Pastor William P. Means and Pastor Dave Helser officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Graveside service will immediately follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the First Church of God, Lancaster, Ohio.
