Larry Ray Kemmerer, 79 of Lancaster, passed away Saturday December 26, 2020 at Fairfield Medical Center. Larry was born July 30, 1941 to Richard Dwight Sr. and Dorothy Fern (Holcomb) Kemmerer. Larry owned and operated D&B Paving Company working over 40 years paving roads, driveways and parking lots in Lancaster and Central Ohio. He took great pride in his work and products.
Larry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn, daughter, Kelly (Chris), son, Tim, step daughter, Tari (David), step son, Scott (Melanie); 6 grandchildren, Sarah (Robin), Rebecca, John, Christopher (Erin), Abbi and Lizzi; Larry was number 4 of 14 Kemmerer children survived by siblings, Janet, Russ, Ken, Jon, Marvin, Joe, Bob, Randy, Robin and Cindy; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rita and brothers Richard “Ric” and Kermit.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 8 PM Wednesday December 30, 2020 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place 11:00AM Thursday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster.
The family would like to thank the Fairfield Medical Center, Dr. Andy Twehuee and Dr. Christian Tencza, all the nurses of the Covid and ICU units for their tireless efforts and care given.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairfield County Agricultural Society, 157 E Fair Ave, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 for new benches thought out the fair grounds.
