She was past Worthy Matron, Grand Representative Massachusetts in Ohio and very active in Eastern Star. JoAnn was a member of The Little Country Church.
JoAnn is survived by daughter, Valerie Hargus Groce and son-in-law, Larry Groce, Jerry (Holly) Callahan; grandchildren, Josh (Carmel) Groce, Colin, Cade, Lauren (Rob) Chase, Jerramie (Kayla), Lisa (John) Browning, Hannah Groce (Clay) Fulfer, Sarah USAF Italy; many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Quentin R Hargus, son, Stephen Q Hargus, grandson, Vance T Groce, parents John S. Probasco and Mildred Dambaugh Probasco, brothers and sisters.
Viewing hours will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 11 am – 1 pm at Little Country Church, 4990 Tschopp Rd NE, Lancaster, Ohio with the service to follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Richard Boucher officiating. Burial will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster. Luncheon to follow funeral at the church.
