Fred W Zellers

Fred W. Zellers of Lancaster passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday August 17, 2023 at the age of 79. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Olivedale Senior Center. Fred worked for Fairfield Medical Center for 23 years as the Materials Manager. He was known for his love of golf and attending his children’s and other descendants’ events. He was born in Salem, OH and grew up in Columbiana, OH. The family lived in Chardon and Dover, OH before settling in Lancaster in 1980.

Fred is survived by his wife, Sue Zellers, sons, Keith Zellers, Drew (Jodi) Zellers, daughters, Christine Zellers and Darlene (Michael) Campbell; grandchildren, Carley (Tyler) Sark, Emerson Woerner, Gabe Woerner, Guin New, Isabella Rivera, Anthony Rivera, Jordan Campbell and Inez Campbell; great grandchildren, Carter Sark, Julia Sark and Natalie Sark; brother, Kirby (Sherry) Zellers.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Willard E Zellers and Irene Zellers (Yonut) and brother, Terry (Ruth) Zellers.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday October 28 at 2:00pm at Grace United Church of Christ in Lancaster.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to his church’s camp fund. Fred attended church camp as a child and made sure his kids and beyond had the opportunity to attend camp.
