Frank N. Childrey, 92, of Lancaster went to be with his Loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 31, 2012.
He was born in Trinity, KY., on May 24, 1919. Frank was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ, presently Fairfield Christian Church. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis Club for over 35 years. He was a veteran of World War II, as a Seaman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy. Frank was employed by Western and Southern Life Insurance Company in 1948 in Cincinnati, OH, and became a successful District Manager with Western and Southern in Lancaster, OH, in 1957, retiring in 1975.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Reathel of 65 years, and sister Virginia (late John) Hornbeck from Cincinnati.
He is survived by his sisters Pauline (late Howard) Heinisch, Georgia (late Carl) Nelson, Helen (late John) Qualley, all of Cincinnati, OH; son Larry (Barbara) Childrey of Lancaster, grandson Dean (Melissa) Childrey of Dothan, Alabama, and granddaughter Deanna Childrey of Columbus, OH.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Friends may visit 3-7 pm on Friday, February 3, 2012, at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in Cincinnati, OH, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel at 1:00P.M. Saturday.
