Florence Mae Pedersen, 94, formerly of Lancaster passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in the Christian Health Care Center, KY. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 26, 1919. In Lancaster she was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was involved in United Methodist Women. She was also a member of AARP and Olivdale Senior Center.
Florence is survived by her son, Donald H. (Lea) Pedersen of Hopkinsville, KY; daughters, Audrey P. Langos of Lancaster and Janet M. (William) Schutt of Hampton Bays, NY; grandchildren, Christopher, Geoffrey and Jason Langos, Laura (Kirk) Schlecker, Sarah (Robert) Wages and William Schutt; 7 great grandchildren; brother, William C. Helliesen and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Harold Pederson in 2004; 3 brothers, and 6 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 am in the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Reverend Robert McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Park.
