Eileen G. Boling, 96, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 after a brief illness. Eileen was born March 2, 1928 in Bremen, Ohio to the late Simon L. Kessler and Julia G. Kilbarger Kessler. She was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and past member of Telephone Pioneers. Eileen worked as a Telephone Operator at Ohio Bell/AT&T for 34 years. Eileen is survived by her daughters, Linda Qualls, Julie (Ted) Figgins, Sharon (Larry) Pool and Donna Danzig; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren with 2 more due this summer; brothers, Fred J. (Mary) Kessler and Vincent E. (Mary) Kessler; sister, Anna Marie Kieffer; many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Boling, parents, infant son, brothers, Robert (Margaret) Kessler, Richard (Phyllis) Kessler and Michael (Ruth) Kessler, sister, Rita J. Kessler, brother-in-law, Dan Kieffer; son-in-laws, Gary Boch, Gene Qualls, Charles Danzig.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday April 19, 2024 at The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Lancaster with Father James L. Colopy officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.
