Donald David Daubenmire

1939-2021

Dave Daubenmire Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday June 20th, 2021 at the Pickering House with family by his side.

Dave was born in Lancaster, Ohio December 16th, 1939 to the late Georgia and Walter Daubenmire. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

Dave was married on May 24th, 1958 to his loving wife, Linda (Barrett) Daubenmire with whom he shared 63 years together.

He proudly served his country, serving in The United States Navy from 1956 until he was honorably discharged in 1960. Dave retired from The Fairfield County Sheriff Department after 20 years. After his retirement, he and Linda enjoyed antiquing, flea markets and traveling.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; sister in laws, Betty Daubenmire and Sue Daubenmire; nieces, Karen Wohrer, Debbie Baker, Barb Baker; and nephew, Rick Daubenmire.

Survived by his wife, Linda; and their children, Dave Daubenmire Jr., Cindy (Duane) Braden, Vicky Daubenmire, Tammy (Greg) Dauterman and Susan (Mike) Dillie; grandchildren, Tyler Daubenmire, Bryan (Mindie) Palmer, Christopher Palmer, Josh Palmer, Chelsea (Jacob) McMillion, Carson Marshall, Tia Dauterman, Justin Dillie, Spencer (Lori) Dillie, Austin (Kacia) Dillie; and eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Sr., Tom, John (Linda) Daubenmire; sister, Suzanne (Marion) Morgan; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from noon until 1PM on Friday, the 25th of June 2021 at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Graveside service will follow at 2PM at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at the Pickering House for taking such good care of Dad.
