Alice M. Wentz, 90 of Lancaster, passed away Monday August 8, 2011. Alice was born March 3, 1921 in Hundred, West Virginia to Ralph and Iva Mae (Bryan) Christian. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and worked for Ohio University-Lancaster as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond L. and Susie Wentz of Sarasota, FL, Paul C. and Melisa Wentz of Thornville; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and David Uhl of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Gene” Wentz, parents, great grandson, Ryan Fletcher, brothers, Carl, James and Raymond Christian, step-father, Elmer Brumm.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Mike Doss officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery.
