My brother in law Terry had a heart of gold. He worked tirelessly to improve the lives of others through his selfless service to those in need. He recognized and embraced the challenges of being a servent leader partnering with my sister in law Meredith to build a successful business. He was a great dad to Micheal and Craig, his shining stars, always teaching and encouraging, a true champion of everything they have accomplished. Over the past week I have read many wonderful tributes and memories. I have also had the opportunity to share my personal memories with family and friends. Today many family and friends have traveled from around the country to celebrate his life, pay tribute and lay this wonderful young man to rest...... Sweet Terry, your sister Trorina and I truly cherished our time with you. The experiences and memories we have will never leave our hearts. It will never be goodbye, it is until we meet again. 

I met Terry during a basketball practice where our sons Craig and Matthew participate in. He and I spent many hours sitting on the sidelines or at tournaments talking joking and sharing some of our life experiences. I have many fond memories of those moments and will cherish the time we spent together. I felt we became friends. Circumstances led us to spend less time together and I regret not making the time to continue building on that fdiendship. 
I believe God puts people into our lives to provide us an opportunity to become better. I do not know if I did that for Terry but he certainly did that for me. From the moment I met Terry I knew he was a unique person. His words and thoughts were always about giving. His actions and efforts were always about doing something for others. It did not matter if he was teaching a class, helping at church, giving a ride or just being a friend his actions were always for the benefit of someone else. And he made it seem so easy to do. He was an example to me of: John 13: 34-35
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

My time with Terry was brief but I will never forget him. He touched my life and although we have lost him I know God was with him all of his life and I know he was a disciple. Rest in Peace Terry. Your influence leaves me with much to live up to and I hope when I see you again I will have been able to acomplish at least a fraction of the impact you had on others lives.  


Terry and I met a few years ago, even though he married my cousin Meredith many years prior. From the moment we met, I knew we would get along great!! His sense of humor, love for his boys and wife made me definitely love him from the get go.  He brought his family to my winter wedding in Minnesota in January - which coming from CA, was a big deal. He froze as he tried to wear his cargo shorts. :-) Then, at a CA wedding for Monica and Mike, he and Meredith invited us all over to BBQ and swim at their home. Oh my goodness - it was so much fun! He was the host with the most!!!! Always made sure everyone had what they needed and made sure we were well taken care of. This past December 2017, in South Dakota, he brought his family to another family wedding. We went to the Sioux Falls to view the spectacular Christmas light display. The joy in him as we walked along the trails checking everything out was contagious. I think he took a million photos of the lights with his family - he loves his family so much. He followed me in his car to the Falls and didn't once correct my driving! Terry was an amazing man. I am very sad that our time on earth was cut short and we are not able to make more memories. I was so lucky to have Terry as my brother in law.  He was always so supportive and encouraging! I have countless memories but one that was the most recent is... my husband was in a fire and had many burns on his hands and arms which made it impossible to do many things around the house due to bandages. Terry showed up with Michael & Craig, all three got to work on my front and back yard! They did so much work and when they left it looked perfect! I will miss you Terry! I love you very much!! You were a GREAT husband and father! Love, Monica

Terry is my baby brother, the youngest of 6, we were 12 years apart. One day we were talking about when he was little and I was trying to correct a memory for him (cause I was the big sister).
He informed me that I never lived with him. I said "Who do you think kicked you over in the doorway on their way out? We started laughing we still have that old movie film. I  may not have lived with him that he remembered but I remember everything about him. He was a generous, caring,  loving man and will be remembered by all who loved him. I for one will hold my memories dear. I Love you T'Willy forever and always till we met again.

Uncle Terry was one of the best parts of my life. Most days we would just say "hey". We didnt need to say much else, it was just like an I see you, just checking in, and love ya all wrapped into one. When my father passed, Uncle Terry stepped in as that male figure in my life, a man I could look up to. I can still remember the best concert we went to was AC/DC and we were all yelling WHAT???? It was something we joked about often.  I can still hear him :'(  He truly was my sunshine and I will never be the same. 

I have so many memories of Terry and all the ways he showed kindness and that he cared. I think the one that stands out that Terry would even laugh his head off at when he thought of it was the time he came over and us teenage girls pulled a prank on him that resulted in soaking the crotch of his pants. He laid there laughing in a "oh you are all so dead when I get up" laugh. We all knew to run and hide. That didnt matter Terry found each of us and drug us from our hiding spot, to outside and soaked us with the garden house. There ended up being a small water fight indoors as well. We were all laughing and having the best time. Terry said it was one of the funnest moments of his life. I will miss everything about him. I pray for all of us who have lost him. He cant be replaced.
