Born January 25, 1934 Passed away September 18, 2016. Bud was born in Wellington, Texas and raised in Stamford, Texas. He was a resident of the AV for 62 years. Bud was an engineer for Lockheed for many years. He provided flight test telemetry support for the development of various stealth and other modern aircraft. He also owned Kelly's custom refinishing as apart time business, then full time after retiring from Lockheed. Bud was member of the Antique Car Club and loved to collect antique cars and drive them in parades. He never met a stranger and loved to tell stories and jokes.
He is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior and is reunited with Billie, his beautiful bride of 64 years who passed away 7 weeks ago.
Bud is survived by his children: Michael Kelly of Long Beach, California, Darla Brown (Lyndell) of Lancaster, California, grandchildren: Mike(Leigh) Brown, Kelly (Tony) Farson and Heather (Adam) Smith: great-grandchildren: Riley Farson, Heidi Farson, Gavin Smith and Harper Smith: and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held October 1, 2016 at 2 pm, at Grace Chapel Church, Lancaster, California. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association.
