Robert Eugene Rush was born in Akron, Ohio on January 25, 1929. He moved to Lancaster, California in 1972 to work for Lockheed. Robert passed away on June 13, 2021 at the age of 92.
Robert Eugene Rush was married to Angela Collier Rush (deceased) for 49 years. He was a loving and devoted father of 8 children, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Retired Master Sergeant Rush served in the Air Force from 1946 to 1969. He was an aircraft and heavy equipment mechanic in the military. After retirement, he continued working as a civil servant at Edwards Air Force Base until 1986.
During his time in the Antelope Valley, Robert was an active member in the Moose and Elks service organizations. Robert enjoyed many years as a SMART Club member visiting many of America’s National Parks. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and swapping stories with fellow campers. We will miss his stories of the road and his funny one-liners.
Services will be held at Joshua Memorial Park on Thursday, June 24th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Alzheimer’s Association.
