I just discovered today that Burrhead had passed...very saddening.  I met Paul and his family in Lancaster California many years ago in the Antelope Valley.  I sent him a text message recently informing him that I was returning to the Antelope Valley after retiring from 30 years with the Boeing Company which I started in CA.  When I did not receive a return text, I searched the obituaries today and found a beautiful memorial for this beautiful man.  I am so very blessed to have had Burrhead as a friend for so many years and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of his military angels in this world...God Bless you Burrhead...there is a special place in my heart for special people...you are in my heart and memories forever my friend! PD, "Sir" James Lafferty, J.P. Gillispie and I played golf together for many years.  It was not unusual for PD to show up at the first tee with a jug of "Scary Mary's", which was PD'S version of a Bloody Mary.  He brought real glasses, and fresh celery.  After the round we'd go the the NCO annex and have fried chicken gizzards and a beer or two...  Just a normal health day.

I knew him from Casa Roma. Just talked to him about 3 weeks ago when I was coming out of Tokyo Steak House with my daughter. My condolences to the family.

I first met PD, aka "Burrhead", when I was a Lieutenant in the Fighter Section working F-4s at Edwards AFB.  He taught me (LT O'Leary) the basics for aircraft maintenance on the flightline that served me well throughout my time with the Air Force from those old F-4 Phantoms to the new F-35 Lightening II I'm working on today.  He was a tough teacher, but had a heart of gold.  I'll keep the Day Family always in my prayers.  Ama, Mary Parker
