I will always remember my childhood friendship with Kimble at St. Timothy Grade School and Loyola High. A loyal friend, Kimble was a special person.  He carried himself with confidence and elegance.  He was intelligent and  athletic, and a great example to us all.

Kimble, your passing is such a loss for so many. Thank you for your dedication to making life better. You’ve set an example of what it means to live a life well lived - loving, kind, generous, and dedicated service to mankind and Mother Earth.  Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to meet you.

It's hard to know how to begin this message and know what to say about the loss of someone who was such a conduit of bringing love, light, kindness, and compassion into the world as Kimble did. My heart goes out to his family and friends and all of us in the gardening community where Kimble worked indefatigably to enrich the lives of those he served. We will miss him, and I pray that those who are closest to him will feel sustained, strengthened, and comforted from knowing how much goodness Kimble brought into the world. Kimble's time with us was too short, but he made the best of the time he was here. Although we greatly mourn his loss, we can still be inspired by his legacy and try our best to serve as he did.

As a fellow UC Master Gardener, we feel his loss.  He was an infectious personality with a “can do” attitude.  My thoughts are with family, friends and colleagues as he was a treasure.

He was such a sunny presence who managed to exude care and seriousness, all at the same time.  I remember him from his first gardening class at Venice High years ago.   He has been an asset to the gardening community ever since. I give thanks for his short life here.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved Kimble. In a short period of time, he befriended my late fiance Arkles C. Brooks/Ark Angel and we all served the gardening community.  Kimble showed up for the family during the passing of Ark and spoke very highly of their friendship.  I am thankful for his presence and ability to show compassion. I am sending the same compassion and support during this time.   Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. He will always be remembered for his positive efforts.

Kimble was a fellow University of California Master Gardener, bringing green to the high desert.
I met him a few years ago at a group event -- truly nice guy.  I think I jokingly asked him if he would move to Long Beach; we needed his expertise and good spirit.
Kimble's dedication to teaching others how to grow fruits and veggies and to create and maintain healthy gardens brightened the lives of all those he taught and also helped make our world a  greener, cleaner, healthier place.
Well done Kimble.
