Joyce Marie Casey

Joyce Marie Casey passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at the age of 75 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Fresno California on January 2, 1937. She was a majorette at Boron High School, graduated from AV College with a nursing degree in 1965, and worked very proudly at the Palmdale Memorial Hospital until its closing in the early 1980's. She attended the local churches and was a faithful follower of the Lord. Traveling and being a tour guide for the Senior Center in Lancaster fulfilled her days as well as playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by 1 sister, Beverly Smith of Lancaster. 4 children- Bill Casey (Connie) of Henderson Kentucky, Sharon M Casey of Pana Illinois, Simon Casey of Nashville Tennessee, and Carolyn Foltz (Mark) of Dongola Illinois. 5 grandchildren- Casey Feldt (Jessica) of Palmdale California, Bill Casey (Shannon) of Newburg Indiana, Rachel Stogsdill of Quartz Hill California, Simon Jesse Casey stationed in Abileen Texas, and Hank Casey (Lacretia) of Lebenon Tennessee. 11 great grandchildren- Larry, Hunter, Wyatt, Richard, and Kara Stogsdill, Tyler and Alyssa Feldt, Harmon, Haden, and Heston Casey, and Logan Casey and many nephews and nieces. She was proceeded in death by her parents George and Ester Kaehler, 2 sisters - Shirley Denton of Boron and Ruthie Skaggs of Lancaster California and husband William H Casey of Union County Illinois. Services are planned for Monday September 24th at Joshua Memorial Park from 10 am to 2 pm.
