John Sidney Banks

The son of Robert Banks and Anna Burley

was born September 21, 1937 in Georgetown, Kentucky

John graduated from Ed Davis High School, Class of 1955

He attended the West Kentucky Vocational School in Paducah Kentucky ,

and Graduated with a degree in Brick Masonary on July 30th, 1957.

John entered the military 1957

He married first wife January 3rd, 1962 to Cora (add last name) -

Had 2 Children (Cheryl and Vetrice)

Based at Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan - January 2nd, 1966

Married Frances Paula Hazard on January 17th, 1970

Stationed at Torrejon Air Force Base, Madrid, Spain in 1972?

He adopted 2 beautiful children Yoneda Navette Banks and Darius Ramon Banks while in Spain in 1973-1974

Stationed at Taif, Saudi Arabia 1978-1979

He was awarded the Air Force commendation medal for meritorious services (Dec 1975 - January 1978)

John retired from the Air Force, Honorably discharged at the Rank of Tech Sergeant January 1st, 1978

Moved to Columbus Ohio in 1980,

an worked at Executive Jet as a flight mechanic

John moved his family to Lancaster California in 1986 and worked for Northrop and at Edwards Air Force Base between 1986 - 1996

he retired from Northrop Grumman in 1996

He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years Frances P Banks;

5 children Vetrice Banks Cheryl Jones Yoneda Rashid Darius Banks and Bianca Banks,

11 grandchildren, 1 sister, 2 brothers, nieces, nephews ,extended family and friends.
