High school memories...I remember the day we met, I knew we had a special friendship...we just got each other...I felt like I knew you forever!

My Nina,

It's been just over a year since you left us. April & May will never be the same for me. But I think of you every day, not just on your birthday or the anniversary of your transcendence to your forever home, where I know I will see you again. I heard a song yesterday..."Baby I'm For Real" by the Originals, it struck my heart in a way I hadn't felt before. It reminded me of those lazy days up in your room, playing oldies records, learning all the lyrics to these songs that I had heard growing up as a child with my daddy, but the memories I have of most of them are of you and I. That is the most special thing to me! I shared that with you, and no one else. I can still hear your voice in my head, calling me on the phone..."What up, Dogg?!" I hope the sound of your voice never fades in my head.  My heart still aches, but I know you're still with me, everyday. I love you always. Xoxoxo  Your Dogg

Such a cliche but there's no words to express the emptiness I feel right now and the uncontroblly sadness that is weighing me down ...Nina Marie aka Christina Irene ... U were the defenition of loyalty ! U had my back without showing judgement or EVERfailted me .. U stopped what u were doing sync xdne thru for me .. I know I would drag u out here snd there and we did it B I G! U were my ride or die ! There's so many memories that I can't think of just one ... But who u were ... U showed beauty and tranferance in the simple things in life ... Watching the sun rise ... Or the leaves blow in the wind after fall touches them red and orange ... Stop in and listening to those forgotten and who struggled to find their voice ...feeling the struggles of others while u prayed for their salvation... Enjoying everyday  and loving gods promises to u ... I'm so sorry I was too wrapped up in my own life to share ur last few months ... I'm sorry I couldn't say goodbye ..I'm sorry that I didn't take the time to tell u I loved u when I had the chance ... I pray that ur in peace and uf watching over me.. I pray that ur living spirit and forgiveness and beauty lives on in me and those around us ... I ❤U my sister ... Until we meet again rest in paradise

Nina was such a special person. She always had such a strong faith in God and love for children. We had drifted aparted in the last few years, but she was always loved by me, my daughter, and my entire family. I'm lucky to have had her as a friend. The memories I have with her will last a lifetime, she was truly one of a kind. To her family, my deepest condolences. She loved you all very much. Till we me meet again my friend...love you!

My Nina, my DOGG, my best friend..I still can't believe you're gone, and I didn't know. I love you so much but I know that you already know that. Our memories will never fade in my heart and my soul. You will always be my best friend. I never thought that the last time I saw you last January, would be the last time I would ever hug you and kiss you...my heart aches so bad right now but I know you would tell me to pick myself up..and think of the good times..there are soooo many. You were Anthony's Ni-Ni, you used to read to him and tell him how smart he was...he loved you and still does. I'm sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye, you know I would have been if I only knew. There are so many things I want to say to you, and I will in time...I love you and I will see you again...say hello to my daddy up there and kiss him for me.

I knew Christina, aka to me as "Nina" from Sacramento. She was kind, loving and had an uplifting spirit.  One time we were walking in downtown Sac and she stopped to talk to a homeless man in a wheelchair. She prayed with him and gave him some words of encouragement. That's the Nina that I knew and loved...

As I read the beautiful and touching message from Christina's very close friend Crystal, it makes me wish we would have known each other so much more.  Unfortunately the long miles between us did not allow that.  To Cindy and Gilbert I want to thank you so much for sharing the beautiful story about Christina included in the thank-you note. It was very touching...it put tears to my eyes.  Love you all.  God bless you!

My heart continues to break more so on days like Father's Day. This year being the 1st for your dad with out U. For your amazing mother to have to loose 1 of her most prized accomplishments the very day before Mother's Day!!! I just feel so sad and so lost knowing your forever gone. I am trying to cast all of my cares upon Jesus Christ knowing He is THE ONLY PEACE that surpasses all human understanding... oh but I am having such a hard time. I pray for your family to be comforted so much and always know my family is here for them no matter what. Love U friend! The sun doesn't shine as bright here without U, nor does the fireworks sparkle the same. Miss U more than I can express. Thanx 4 always being there for me, and all of my family. U loved us all so much and I have never had a friend like U. U will always be one of a kind. Till we see each other again... I will collect all the things I know u would want... lol "rocks & heart rocks" etc cuz we loved the very same things! Xo

We will miss you Christina. I remember when she took time to come to Dallas and help with grandma Cisneros. Grandma Cisneros had Alzheimer's and was a handful. Christina was so happy to be helping us with her. As I was thanking Christina for coming to help with grandma.  Christina said... Tia it is my honor to be here with grandma. What a loving granddaughter to be there for her grandmother. Christina had a huge loving heart and I hope she is with grandma Cisneros in heaven.

Christian would light up a room with her beautiful smile and laughter.  She had a big heart and loved life.  She loved her family I was always in awe how close the family (cousins,aunt,etc) were when we would visit. You will be missed! Our thoughts and prayers to you all.

I'm so sorry for the loss of my baby cousin Christina.. I will always say she named after me.. For I begged Cinday and Gilbert to name her after me.. I will continue to pray for my family, especially my Cindy Gilbert and Roland... She will be with my mom watching over us...

I will miss my cousin so much but I know that she's at peace now. I will always remember how she took care of me when we were younger. When we were driving in Hollywood and I got pulled over she gladly switch spots with me and took the ticket herself! What a cousin. But my favorite memories of her are when her, Rachel and I would spend the night at Nanas house after a holiday. It was tradition. I will miss you Christina. Love, "Ernie"

Eric and I are so sad by your passing but feel honored that you took time to make our sweet Mila a newborn blanket just a few weeks before you passed.  Mila loves it and we will treasure it always. One of our earliest memories of Christina was at Nana's house at Christmas time.  All the kids were watching "Frosty the Snowman", when he melted, Christina cried and cried.  This speaks of our niece's always tender always loving heart, she always had so much heart.  Our hearts are now broken to lose her.  Gil, Cindy, only God can bring comfort at this time.  We always lift you up in prayer and believe that He will comfort you and also those of us who will miss her so much!

Christina had a huge heart and wanted everyone to feel loved. One great memory was when Christina took me to a Kid's Fun Zone in California when I was young. It was just the two of us and I was so excited to hang with my big cool cousin! May you rest in peace Christina. We will miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Cindy and Uncle Gilbert. I love you both.

It's still hard to believe my sweet cousin is gone.  Although Christina and I did not grow up together, I always felt a connection to her.  I think the reason for that connection was her kind heart and the unconditional love she had for her family  it radiated from her.  You could feel it just by being near her.  I know that she has found the peace she had sought for so long, which gives me solace during this time.  I hope it does the same for my beautiful Aunt Cindy and Uncle Gilbert.  I love you both and I hope you can feel the love being sent to you by everyone that knew Christina.

Several years ago Christina came to visit and during this visit she shared with me that she had accepted God as her Lord and Savior.
