Issac Jackson was born April 9, 1946 in Bellville, Texas to Robert and Mary Ivery Jackson He attended W M Route High School in Needville, Texas. After attending high school, Issac worked for the City of Texas City and Mainland Construction and went on to become a self-employed independent cement contractor. On July 23, 2006, Issac married the love of his life, Carolyn Davis. Issac was a loving and kind man who loved to help those in need. He also loved rodeos and the Dallas Cowboys. You could often find him watching a good western or sitting on the porch being the neighborhood watch. Issac dedicated his life to Christ at an early age in Needville, TX. Upon moving to Texas City, TX, Issac was a member and Deacon at Mount Paran Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor E. J. Johnson, before he united with True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James Price. Issac passed into eternal sleep on January 12, 2015 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Jackson; brother, Charles Jackson, and sisters, Landa Jean Holtermann-Vara, Jane Ethel Nealy, Ella Lois Bolden and Annie Mary Jackson. Left to cherish memories are his devoted wife, Carolyn Davis; children, Trennice Jackson, Dennice Small (Troy), LaKisha, Kimberly and Vernon Burns III; grandchildren, Niesha (Danny), Kara, Jaylon, Alexis, Treysean, K'Shon, Princesean, great-granddaughter, Nila; sisters, Rosemary Weathersby, Thelma Steamer and Kathryn Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, family members and devoted friends.
