Robert Stracher

Robert Stracher, age 73, of Brick, NJ, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Born in Albany, NY moving to Waldwick, NJ for many years before moving with his wife to Garfield, NJ and finally settling in Brick, NJ. Robert served in the US Army for the 82nd Airborne Division from 1962-1966. He was very active in his community serving as the past president and founding member of the Parents Football Club, past president of the Brick Jaycees, volunteer with the Brick Township Little League and Coach for over 15 years. Mr. Stracher’s true passion in life was spending time with his family especially his beloved grandchildren. Husband of the late Christine Charlotte Stracher who died on September 24, 2015; he is survived by their three sons, Robert, Scott, and Jason and his wife Elizabeth all of Brick; two grandsons, Jason and Nicolas, brother, William Stracher and his wife Antonia, sister, Linda Stracher and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 12-4 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Entombment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood.
