Pete, was my first cousin. I  will miss him dearly.  So sorry that I  did not hear of your passing until today on your Birthday.  Love you cousin. 

   Peter was one of the first people I met when I began my journey here at Lightolier in 2001. He was quick to make me feel welcome and offer his help as I found my footing. Little did I know at the time that the years to follow would be filled with stories, laughter, and yes some struggles as well. But we ALWAYS overcame those struggles together because that's the sort of guy Pete was....a generous and reliable teammate. 
    His generosity came to it's fullness, for me, when he passed on many of his personal tools to my son Elijah who is studying to be a machinist. 
     My time here at Lightolier will come to an end soon and I expect certain memories will fade but every time I pass by his toolbox which sits on the workshop bench at home I will remember Peter J Medeiros with a happy heart. 
     Rest in Peace my friend and know that my prayers are with both you and your beloved wife Joan.


Peter and Joan so kindly welcomed us into their home as visitors when we first came to New England, and many times thereafter. I enjoyed sitting with Peter and listening to his stories of old New England, of his experiences in its many industries and lifestyles. He was a man who has lived in many places and worked at many different types of jobs, and tried many things -- and yet his obituary still managed to surprise me with something about him I never knew.  Peter was a good humored, genuinely nice guy. He is sorely missed, and our hearts go out to Joan and his family. 

I spent many a day down in the prototype shop chatting with Peter. We would talk about sports, the world, but mostly about Chelsea, MA. He and I both grew up in that area.  We would share lots of happy memories about Chelsea and hanging out on Revere beach causing trouble. Peter was a good guy all around. It was my honor and privilege to work with him, chat with him and share memories with him. 

My hart goes out to Joan and the rest of the family.  

I was so sad to hear of Pete's passing. He was a talented an loving man.  Prayers for you an the family for the loss of your wonderful husband an father.  He will be missed by all. May God give you strength an comfort during this time.   Hugs an love to Y'all .  Cousin  Bev an Clayton. 

I had worked with Peter for many years. I relied on him to make components for my designs. He was very passionate about his work and always tried to please the engineers. He would also explain to me and others the challenges that needed to be resolved to fabricate a component. I learned a lot from Peter throughout the years based on his input. He cared a lot about coaching and delivering to plan. He really generated a lot of great prototypes that helped our business. 
I enjoyed the personal stories about his military service. I thanked him for his service many times. 
I also enjoyed other conversations. He knew I liked to garden. He would tell me what he and Joan did in the garden in different seasons. 
I had also worked with Joan his wife for many years. She was a great colleague.

Peter and Joan were dear friends. We worked together for many years. I was shocked and saddened when I heard his passing. He will be missed by all who knew him. My deepest condolences to Joan and his family.

Peter was a coworker and friend to many of us at Lightolier.  A true gentleman with a strong work ethic and full appreciation for everything in his life that was never taken for granted.  Peter's actions spoke to this in the way he fulfilled his commitments and in his dedication to the Design team and more importantly his wife.  He humbly served and loved his country and it gives us pause in knowing his death coincided with Veterans Day.  God bless you on your journey home.
