Nora Fay (Ham) Cullen, age 91, of Toms River, died peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2011, surrounded by family and close friends at the Tall Woods Care Center in Bayville, NJ. Mrs. Cullen was born in Lansing, NC. She moved to Cincinnati, OH in 1936 and resided there until 1959 when she then moved to Toms River. Mrs. Cullen loved to crochet, square dancing and trips to Atlantic City. Nora was the past president of the Chalboard Squares and a member of the Hi Steppers square dancing clubs. Wife of the late William John Cullen, she was predeceased by her brothers, Vester, Reggie, Clyde, Wells, Walter; and her sister, Aulsie Wallace. She is survived by her three children, William J. (Janet) of Cincinnati, OH, Thomas J. (Joanne) of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, and Marilyn A. Fox (Frank) of Toms River; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind her very dear companion of 20 years, George Weiss and a sister, Reba Harkemeyer of Cincinnati, OH. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Rte 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
