Michael R. Carlson

Michael R. Carlson, age 73, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Michael was a lifelong resident of Jersey City before settling in Lakewood of the past 4 years. He is a graduate of Dickinson High School, where he played football. Michael was the former owner of Carlson's Corner Tavern in Jersey City and later worked for Jersey City Public School #8 as the custodian. Mr. Carlson was an avid sports fan. Michael was a loving brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Carlson is predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Carl Carlson, brother, Richard and sister, Mary Lou Fischedick.

Michael is survived by his siblings, Carl Carlson and his wife Marie, Paul E. Carlson and his wife JoAnne, Catherine Carlson, Elaine McVey and her husband Charles and Patricia Perrotta and her husband James and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and life long friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 2-6PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 4PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately.
