Mary Ann Dorothy Barnett, age 76, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. Mary Ann was born in Jamaica, Queens-New York on January 16, 1947 to Mildred and Anthony J. Sommese. She was raised and was a longtime resident of Queens before retiring to Lakewood, NJ. Mary Ann was a member of her community Italian American Club. She was a Eucharistic Minister for her Church. Mary Ann was a devoted mother and homemaker. Mary Ann was the wife of the late William Barnett who preceded her in death in 2002, and the mother of the late David Anthony Barnett. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Barnett; and a grandchild, Robert Daniel Stanton. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Mary Ann will be laid to rest in BG William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
