Marion Marie Thomas Wooten

Marion Marie Wooten, (nee Thomas) age 88, of Lakewood, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. She was born and raised in Montclair, NJ and was the daughter of the late Amanda (Barnes) and Alfred Thomas. Marion was a former resident of Newark, NJ and Spring Lake Heights, NJ before moving to Lakewood. She retired from St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ as a medical records clerk. Marion graduated from Montclair High School and was an avid reader. She was the wife of the late Albert Jackson and the late Arthur Wooten. Marion is survived by her daughter, Rev. Marion A. Jackson with whom she resided and a sister Mary Thomas; a niece, Helen Thomas; a grandson, Douglas Hobbs, Sr.; great- grandchildren, Adrian, April and Douglas Hobbs, Jr. and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial service on Saturday January 19th at 2:00pm at Martin’s Home for Service Inc. 48 Elm St., Montclair, NJ.
