Mario Anthony Desalvo

Mario A. DeSalvo, 86, passed away December 25, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Mr. DeSalvo was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, moving to Linden, NJ, for many years, and finally settling in Toms River for the past 5 years. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mario was the owner/operator of a printing company in Linden for many years. He was an avid artist, carpenter, history buff, sports fan and loved to tinker with his projects. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and cousin and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. DeSalvo is predeceased by his wife Rosemarie. Mario is survived by his children, Anthony DeSalvo and Marlene DeSalvo, sisters, Jean Borys and Camille Wendt and her husband Barry, niece, Jackie Tureby and her husband Bill, cousins, Theresa Rinaldi and Pete Rinaldi and his wife Maureen and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 4-7PM at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 9:30AM at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
