Born in Newark, and raised in North Arlington, Marie lived in Cedar Grove for 32 years before moving to Toms River 22 years ago. She graduated from Our Lady Queen of Peace High School, North Arlington, NJ, Class of 1947. She worked as the day Manager for MidLantic Items Processing System at Midlantic Bank Center in West Orange, before retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Junior Woman’s Club of North Arlington and Cedar Grove, and also Evening Membership of Cedar Grove. The North Arlington Craftsman’s Club Auxiliary, the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Bonaventure #1656, and the Ladies Club of Lake Ridge in Toms River. She was a member of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church for the past 7 years. Previously a Eucharistic Minister and President of Rosary Alter Society of Our Lady of Peace Church of Normandy Beach which later merged with St. Bonaventure Church of Lavallette into Pio of Pietrelcima Parish. Pre-deceased by her parents John and Mary Frotton, two sisters Helen and her husband Glen Holck, Gloria and her husband Robert DeMarco. She is survived by her loving husband William of 61 years, her daughter Susan Wolfman and her husband Paul of Randolph, NJ, her two sons William J. and his wife Anna Marie of Rockaway, NJ, Andrew and his wife Elaine of Verona, NJ, her two sisters Joan Jarvis and her husband Edgar of Lavallette, NJ, Eileen Lambiase and her husband Michael of Nutley, NJ, 7 grandchildren Lauren and Kaitlin Keller, Jillian, Ian , Alexa, Emily, and Andrew McPhail, a great grandson Devon Woelki and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her godson Dr. Robert DeMarco, and his wife Debra. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 18th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave; Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday October 19th at 10:15 am, St. Lukes Church, 1974 Old Freehold Road Toms River, NJ 08755. Entombment will follow Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mrs. McPhail’s name to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, Meridian Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
