Marie Rose Gentile

Born and raised in Brooklyn, she was a resident of Wayne for 35 years before settling in the Fairways Community of Lakewood 18 years ago.

Marie loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending her time involved in various groups in the Fairways.

Surviving is her loving husband of 69 years, Mario; 5 children: Christine Doran and her husband James, Tom and his wife Doreen, Anne Marie Simpson and her husband Donald, Mary Jane Threlfall and her husband Gary, and Salvatore and his wife Arlene; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Porter and her husband Edward.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood. Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Marie's memory to the National Alzheimer's Association.
