Kenneth Alan Kahn

Kenneth Kahn August 22,1942 - July 31, 2023, Kenneth Kahn 80, passed away July 31, 2023 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Mr. Kahn was born in Brooklyn, NY. Kenneth was the son of the late Jack and Rose Kahn and brother to Richard Kahn. He was raised in Brooklyn and in 1968 moved to Jackson, NJ. A graduate of Long Island University N.Y. (C.W. Post now) in 1964 with a degree in Accounting. He began his career as an accountant for Harcourt Publishers NYC in 1964 and then moved into a new position at Random House Publishers, NYC in the mid 80’s. In 1996 he left the publishing world to pursue his dream of owning his own business. He purchased a franchise business called “Mad Science” with his oldest son, David Kahn. The business brought fun, hands-on science to children ages 3-11 years old. Ken retired from the business in 2011.

Kenneth’s interests were bowling, golfing, fishing, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.

Kenneth leaves behind his wife Sue Kahn in Manchester, NJ along with his 3 sons, David, 56 and wife Tracey 52 of Forked River, NJ and their 2 children Matthew 25, and Jenna 21, son Jeffrey Kahn, 52 of Manchester, NJ and son Robert Kahn, 51 of Lake Worth, FL with his three daughters, Cameran 18, Meadow and Leila both 15.

A memorial service will be held August 2nd, Wednesday 4pm-7pm at D’Elia Funeral Home Lakewood, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneth’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
