Joseph N. Burke

Joseph Nichlos Burke, 56, passed away peacefully October 23, 2014 at his home in Lavallette surrounded by his loving family. He fought bravely against Multiple Myeloma for five and a half years. Joe loved spending time with family and friends, fishing and traveling. Joe loved his career in the IT industry, especially at AtlantiCare in Egg Harbor Township where he was a mentor and friend to many. Joe’s spirit will live on in all the lives of the people he touched with his altruistic character. He was a loving husband, father and brother and will be greatly missed by all. Joe is predeceased by his parents Margaret and Joseph Burke of Piscataway, NJ. Joseph is survived by his wife Deborah of 36 years, son, Thomas, daughter, Jennifer Hatfield and her husband Jeremy, sisters Margaret Grob and her husband Lou, Carol Rears and her husband James and Eileen Bedatsky and her husband Lee. Friends may call Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 2-6 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 10AM at the St. Pio’s Church in Lavallette.
