John P. Doyle, age 75, of Manchester, NJ, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the VanDyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, in Toms River, NJ. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was a long time resident of Ocean County, NJ. He was a US Marine Veteran of the Beirut Crisis. John was a former employee of Ciba-Geigy Corporation in Toms River, NJ for over 20 years. He was a paramedic for the Community Medical Center “Life” in Toms River for 14 years. John was a life member of the Pleasant Plains First Aid Squad, a member of the Viston Volunteers of Leisure Village West, and a member of the Dollars and Cents investment club. John is survived by a son Sean and (Alicia) Doyle of Toms River, NJ; a brother Lawrence and (Catherine) Doyle of North Salem, NY; four nieces, Mary Margaret and (Dennis) Roche, Rosemary and (Phillip) Emmens, Cathleen and (Joseph) Salvatore, and Anne and (James) Sheehan; 5 grandnieces; a grandnephew; 3 stepchildren, Scott Cullen, Bridget Abatemarcos, and Alison Keenan; and 5 step grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. John’s Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ 08733. Cremation will be private with inurnment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
